About Brakes for Breasts
Want to join in the efforts of independent auto repair shops in a grass roots effort that is sweeping the nation? Brakes for Breasts originated in 2011 and in 9 short years has raised just over $1,192,000.
100% of every single penny raised goes directly to support research for the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Fund.
This fundraiser offers FREE brake pads or shoes to Village Repair shop’s customers. The customer pays for labor and any other ancillary parts needed for the brake repair (rotors, calipers, hardware, etc.) Village Repair shop then donates 10% of each brake repair to the research for the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Fund.
Our Story
We started raising money for this cause 7 years ago. The first year we raised enough money through our customer’s participation to donate $2500 to Brakes for Breasts. We were nationally ranked as one of the top ten shops in the country!
Then we raised $2800 the next year! Two years go we raised $3300 with the support of our customers. Then we raised $4700. Then we raised $4300 and ranked in the top ten five years in a row! We worked hard to donate $3300, but we wanted to donate more! Last year was our biggest year of donations $7100 put us over the top and brought our grand total to $28,000!
Nationally we were the second highest shop based on our size for donations in the country!
